Fun day at office and out of it!

Today being a Saturday was a fun day at office. I reached there at 9:00 AM sharp (thats usual for me) and started to debug the code. Did manage to fix two bugs reported by the QA and then decided thats enough for the day

Now, comes the fun part. This month four of my mates at the department where i am rendering my services quit. We planned a joint farewell for all of them [ sponsored by the staff    ] and left to ‘Salt n Pepper Village’ at Seaview. We reached there in the nick of time and started their buffet lunch. I took the opportunity and did my best to eat the most… hehehe.

After paying the massive bill of 8300 rupees, three of us decided to go to Saddar for shopping as a friend recommended that the men’s apparel is relatively less expensive there. After spending a couple of hours there wandering around and making up my mind to buy something, i decided to buy a Dress shirt and then a T-Shirt from a discounted sale. Both the items cost me 650 (500 for the Shirt and 150 for the Tee). On my way back, i bumped into an old friend Umair whom i hadn’t seen in more than a year, so that was a refreshing moment to have a little chit chat.

Soon after the shopping session, we headed to Tariq Road as we wanted to get robbed by the shopkeepers. There, I wanted by buy a gift for my brother whose birthday is drawing nearer. I had planned to buy an electric shaver for him as he is the hippy of the family , before we started shopping, we had a cup of doodh patti before continuing with our shopping. As the guys bought and bargained their stuff at Dolmen Center, I casually looked around for any stuff i could buy but wasn’t convinced.

After that, we went to Dolmen Mall, and after seeing the price tags at Electric shavers, i made up my mind to buy a good pair of dress pants for my brother. I bought one from the Sale at Diner’s. In case you are interested in the prices of Electric shavers, they started at 2500 a piece… a massive one phew!

So, after spending lots of energy (and money), we caught a bus back home.

Now, I have to study for my Money and Banking Exam which happens to be early on the Monday, and I don’t intend to go to office as I need time to prepare for the Marketing Management exam which is going to occur the very next day. My wicked mind has already thought of a bad health excuse for Monday

And finally, one more thing…. Today I searched myself at Google, and you know what ? Yours truly is now almost completely occupied on the first page of Google (if you search with ‘Burhan A. Farooqi’ as keywords). Man!!! finally my efforts of regularly posting to multiple blogs, attaching keywords to my posts and photos, keeping an active flickr account etc has paid off. I occupy almost 80% of the entries that pertain to the above mentioned keywords. Lets see how far this practice takes me.
